Why this site exists
When a relationship ends, finding a family lawyer usually means searching, getting a page of firms that all say similar things, and having no easy way to tell them apart. A lot of "best lawyer" lists online don't say how firms got on them.
This site tries to do that job in the open. For each city we check a wide range of firms, shortlist the ones with the strongest family law focus and the clearest published information, and show where every detail came from. The method is set out in full on How we select.
Who publishes it
Top10 Family Lawyers is published by Steven Piper, from the Gold Coast, Queensland. Steven isn't a lawyer. The site collects and organises information that firms and law societies publish. It doesn't give legal advice, and using it doesn't create any relationship between you and a lawyer.

Shortlists are published for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Canberra, Newcastle, Sunshine Coast, Central Coast, Hobart and Darwin.
